Abburstig
Aburstig leaf consists of small, irregular metal flakes measuring approximately 6 mm (1/4 inch). These flakes are produced from Color #2-1/2 schlagmetal or aluminum, offering the warm, golden appearance of imitation gold or the bright, silvery look of aluminum in a fragmented, textural form.
Unlike full sheets of leaf, aburstig flakes are designed to create organic, broken, or antiqued effects, making them especially useful for decorative finishes, restoration work, and expressive surface treatments. When applied, the individual flakes catch light at varying angles, producing a lively, shimmering surface with natural variation and depth.
