Window Spar Varnish

Window Spar Varnish is a light amber, nearly clear protective varnish used as a final coat in reverse glass gilding and decorative finishing. It is typically applied over Back-Up black or yellow ochre backing paints to seal and protect the gilded design.

This varnish dries quickly, usually within approximately one hour, forming a durable protective layer while maintaining the clarity and depth of the underlying gilded surface. Its light amber tone enhances the richness of the backing paint without significantly altering the appearance of the finished work.
